Ice Tea Group and fecher hold .NET Info Day for Gupta Developers

Washington, DC - December 5, 2008 - Ice Tea Group and fecher, in collaboration with Microsoft and DotNet Magazine, held a special one-day event at the BASTA! .NET Conference in Germany. With over 30 companies and 50 attendees  the event was a great success.

Ice Tea Group presented the PPJ Framework Roadmap for 2009 and 2010 and unveiled additional services tailored for Gupta developers that have migrated to Microsoft .NET.

The roadmap includes new components such as state-of-the-art Ribbon Bar, Chart, Spelling, and Tabbed MDI. New services include an online Knowledge Base, Resources List, and a new distribution system for downloading new builds of Ice Porter and the PPJ Framework.

Fecher presented their vision for the future of migrated Gupta applications, as well as case studies of completed projects and an overview of their successful project management and testing methodology.

Microsoft presented their newest Visual Studio technology and how to successfully manage large applications and teams of developers on Team System.

The special event brought together many companies that are still using Gupta for their corporate applications as well as companies that have already successful migrated their systems to .NET.
