XLSGlobal joins Ice Tea Group's Worldwide Network of Partners offering porting services to convert Gupta applications to Microsoft .NET.

 

Washington, DC – September 25, 2007 – Ice Tea Group, LLC (ITG) announced today that the Dutch company XLSGlobal, a Gupta Technologies' former Premium Partner, joined ITG's network of companies by partnering with fecher, ITG’s primary distributor and partner for central Europe. Together, the companies will work to extend ITG’s Gupta-to-Microsoft.NET migration service to businesses throughout Benelux.

The two companies formed a joint team of experts to handle Benelux’s demand for ITG’s technology migration services. XLSGlobal will bring its familiarity with local business systems and its expertise with Gupta technologies. Fecher, who has already converted over two dozen Gupta applications with several million lines of code, will bring its expertise with the migration process.

Currently, there are more than 200 businesses in the Benelux region still dependent on Gupta Team Developer, an old 4GL from the '90s. These businesses risk technological inefficiency and incompatibility with systems based on the modern Microsoft .NET platform. Gupta-based systems may also ward off potential employees who want to work with modern applications.

The two companies kicked off their partnership with a successful roadshow in the Netherlands. Over 20 local companies attended and evaluated ITG's porting technology.
